Discount When Publishing in Open Access

The Main Library has several memberships enabling people to publish more cheaply or free of charge in open-access and hybrid open-access journals.

UZH will cover a certain share of the publication costs for BioMed Central, Springer Open, Frontiers, and Wiley Open Access. This is subject to compliance with the Funding Guidelines.

UZH members can publish free of charge with the Open Library of Humanities, Science Matters, and SCOAP3.

Licensing by UZH results in various discounts at some publishers and journals. UZH does not provide additional support with purchasing open access in closed-access journals (hybrid open access).
