The Open Access Project of the University of Zurich has been running since March 2006 and aims at installing an institutional repository for the University of Zurich. It is being managed by the Main Library University of Zurich and the Center for IT Services of the University of Zurich. The project steering committee makes decisions and consists of four voting members and the two project leaders. The University's executive board, after signing the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities, adopted guidelines that promote both the Golden Road to Open Access (publishing in an open access journal) as well as the Green Road to Open Access (self-archiving of a publication in a repository). ZORA - Zurich Open Repository and Archive, the institutional repository of the University of Zurich - went online on October 13th 2006 and is continuously filled with more content. In ZORA, researchers of the University of Zurich deposit all their published scientific works as of 2008. An interface automatically transfers these entries into the annual reports. The bilingual Open Access website contains practical information about implementation of open access at the University of Zurich and about the development of open access worldwide. Articles:
