ZORA for Submitters and Editors

ZORA für Submitter weisse Tastatur

On the following pages we have compiled information for those who are already familiar with ZORA and have specific questions about its application.

Submitters

Submitters can enter new publications by UZH members in ZORA.

For those interested, the ZORA editorial team offers regular introductory courses on Open Access and entering publications in ZORA:
Current course dates

Permission to make entries for members of UZH and USZ

All members of the University of Zurich and University Hospital Zurich are entitled to enter publications in ZORA.

Three steps to becoming a submitter:

  1. Log in with your UZH short name and WebPass password on www.zora.uzh.ch. At this point your profile doesn't yet allow you to make entries.
  2. Email the ZORA editorial team (zora@hbz.uzh.ch) to request activation as a submitter.
  3. You'll be able to enter publications immediately once you receive a confirmation email.
Permission to make entries for members of the other university hospitals

Members of the university hospitals (University Hospital, Balgrist University Hospital, Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich, University Children's Hospital Zurich, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) do not automatically have the necessary login data, and must apply for them via their information officer:
List of Information Officers

ZORA will send all correspondence related to entries to your UZH email address. If you do not check emails in this account directly, please automatically forward emails to your regular address.

Editors

Editors can not only enter publications in ZORA, but also edit them and save them independently in the ZORA archive. They carry out the editorial control themselves. In this way, older publications can also be entered quickly and independently of the central ZORA editorial office. In contrast to submitters, editors edit the following additional aspects:

    Extended bibliographic information
    Links
    Process Review
    Clarification of the copyright situation

Here we offer a guide for editing in ZORA, as well as other tips and tricks to make your work easier. If you have any questions, our FAQs on ZORA will help you in many cases.

In order to obtain the status "Editor", an introduction and initial follow-up checks by the ZORA administrators are necessary. Contact us for an individual appointment.

For all ZORA editors we maintain the Editors Forum. The forum is for asking questions, discussing and commenting. The ZORA editorial staff also uses the forum to inform you about important ZORA innovations. It is therefore advisable to activate the "Follow the Community" function.
